I designed the original plan for this hotel in 1998. We chose a contemporary design using a marble tile with a metal accent and a wood face that matched the millwork, with stainless lettering and Braille. The material was chosen to match the contemporary feel of the hotel. The program was minimalistic utilizing the three elements: marble, metal, and wood tightly interlocked and inlayed together with clean, straight lines.
